Elliot R. Brooks graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree with honors, from the University of Miami in 1970. Prior to enrolling in law school, he was employed as a financial analyst by the firm of Dunn and Bradstreet in their California offices.
He then attended law school at Florida State University and graduated with honors in 1973.
Mr. Brooks is an “A-V” rated attorney and was selected for inclusion in the “Register of Preeminent Lawyers”.
After becoming a member of the Florida Bar in 1974, Mr. Brooks was employed by the Office of the Public Defender in Palm Beach County. During his tenure with this office, he served terms as Chief of the Appellate Division. In 1977, Mr. Brooks opened his own office where for the next ten years he was engaged as a sole practitioner in the field of personal injury law. State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company was his largest client.
In January of 1993, the long friendship between Elliot Brooks and Stuart Young culminated in a merger of their law firms thereby giving rise to the present law firm of Young & Brooks, P.A.
