Stuart A. Young graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Syracuse University in 1974 and completed his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Florida College of Law in 1977. He began practicing law in Palm Bach County as an Assistant Public Defender where he was Chief of the County Court Division. He later practiced with several firms in the Palm Beach County area.In 1985, Stuart A. Young formed his own law firm concentrating on personal injury and bankruptcy cases. Mr. Young, while attending the University of Florida College of Law, was an instructor of law students. Having argued cases in County Court, the Circuit Courts of Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach, the Fourth District Court of Appeal and the Federal District Court, Mr. Young has a broad variety of experience.Stuart A. Young is Board Certified in Consumer Bankruptcy Law. Achieving the distinction of “Board Certification in Consumer Bankruptcy Law” requires the passing of a comprehensive written exam, the demonstration of substantial experience in the field of bankruptcy law, the completion of continuing legal education programs, as well as favorable evaluations by judges and other lawyers. Stuart Young has attained the distinction of being an “A-V” rated attorney by the Martindale-Hubbel Rating System. An “A-V” rating is the highest rating attainable and denotes a “Very High-Preeminent” legal ability with very high ethical standards. In addition, Mr. Young has also been selected for inclusion in the “Register of Preeminent Lawyers”.Mr. Young received the 1989 Bankruptcy Award and the 1994 Bankruptcy Award presented by the Palm Beach County Bar Association. He has also been the Chairman of the Continuing Legal Education Committee for Bankruptcy of the Palm Beach Bar Association from 1989 through 1993. Mr. Young is a featured author of the Florida Keystone Lawyer’s Desk Library.Mr. Young has been a featured commentator on Bankruptcy Law on WPEC-Ch. 12 “Live at Five” and has been a frequent talk show host and guest on WPBR’s “Your Legal Forum”.
